May 31, 2019 by Troy McManus

At the recently completed JP Midwest PCC Championship, one Accidental Discharge occurred, attributable to a trigger shoe wider than the trigger guard. The trigger was pressed when the competitor also pressed the magazine release button, causing the gun to fire.

To WSB, or not to WSB…

May 27, 2019 by Jodi Humann

Okay, this really isn’t a question. We always need to have a Written Stage Briefing (WSB) for each stage at a match. But I have noticed that there is some confusion about what a WSB is and what information is in the WSB.

A stage plan…to RO?

May 17, 2019 by Jodi Humann

As competitors we always talk about stage plans: Where we will move to, when we will reload, the order of target engagement. The mental planning helps when it comes time to actually shoot the stage. Show me the ruling!

May 1, 2019 by Jodi Humann

I will admit, it sometimes is hard to keep all the different division equipment rules straight, we do have eight divisions now. But fortunately, we have a rulebook that outlines the requirements for each one in Appendix D. Yeah, some of the divisions use a single page and others span numerous pages, but all the information is there…you just have to look.

Are IWB/AIWB holsters legal?

May 1, 2019 by Jodi Humann

The April question of the month was: Are IWB/AIWB holsters allowed in USPSA Competition Rules matches? For those of you asking what IWB means, it stands for “inside the waistband,” which is what a lot of people use for concealed carry.
