SCSA, USPSA and NROI are pleased to announce that the Steel Challenge Range Officer Endorsement course is now available online!
This endorsement has, up until now, only been available by taking an in-person class usually arranged as part of a Level 1 or Level 2 seminar. This limited the ability of NROI certified Range Officers to obtain the SCSA RO Endorsement. Rolling out this endorsement course was a major goal for NROI for 2019 which involved no small amount of work. The USPSA/NROI Learning Management System has now been incorporated in all of our in person seminars, contains additional educational content on how to properly use PractiScore and now has our first endorsement course.
In order to take the SCSA endorsement seminar, you must be certified as a Range Officer (Level One) at a minimum. This can be achieved by attending an NROI seminar; there are no plans to offer these as online courses. Scheduling an instructor-lead seminar is very easy: just see the NROI Seminar page for more information and to schedule a seminar.
As long as you are a certified NROI Range Officer, Chief Range Officer or Range Master, you may enroll yourself in the online SCSA RO Endorsement course by simply logging on to your profile at either uspsa.org or scsa.org and clicking on the link in the Range Officer Certification portion of your profile.
The online course consists of seven video modules each of which is followed by a short quiz. When you have completed all seven modules click on the link at the end to take your online exam. This is a very similar exam format to the usual online NROI exams for certification or recertification but, and this is a VERY important difference; you must use the SCSA Competition Rules for this exam, not the USPSA Competition Rules.
Now that this endorsement is available online it will no longer be offered as an in-person class.
The USPSA Rifle, Shotgun, MultiGun Endorsement is in production and should be available early in 2020.
