I can hardly believe that we have been producing this blog for five years, but in February 2019 we set up this website and started releasing blog posts. Let’s look at some of our stats for the past 5 years!
Weekly posts – At the very beginning we didn’t have a set schedule like we do now (Thursday at 7 AM Pacific Time), but over the last 5 years we have published 298 posts.
Question of the Month – This wasn’t something we started until April 2019, but 57 questions later we are still doing these. And I do have to say these are sometimes the most conversation evoking posts. Either at local club matches or in emails to us after the results are posted, we are really glad that so many folks look forward to the question each month and want to discuss it!
Email subscribers – Initially we didn’t have a mailing list until a member suggested it. In May 2019 we started the mailing list and it has steadily grown over the years and we now have over 1,500 subscribers.
Our visitors – We have changed tracking software since 2019, but the partial data I do have shows a steady increase in traffic. In 2022, we had 166,681 page views from 80,597 visitors. In 2023 we had 312,1020 page views from 82,279 visitors. And while most of our visitors are from the USA, we also have visits from Canada, Philippines, Germany, and Jamaica in the top five countries.
The feedback – We all enjoy hearing about how much our members and range officials enjoy the blog. I don’t know if the average scores on the renewal exams have increased, but I like to think that our range officials are more informed about the rules since we started this in 2019.
We want to thank all the subscribers, readers and fans of the NROI Blog!
